This research and education trust is named after Prof. S.K. Paknikar, Ex-Vice chancellor and former Dean, Department of Natural Sciences, Goa University & Head of Chemistry Department, Goa University. It was established by us, his students, friends and well wishers - in 1995 when he officially retired from the University.
Today, the Prof. S.K.Paknikar Research & Education Trust is a honorary body that conducts seminars and recognizes excellence in education at the Post-Graduate level in Organic Chemistry at the Goa University.
Over the course of the last 15 years, the trust has hosted respected dignitaries from India & abroad, & held felicitation functions to reward deserving students who have topped the state level exams in Chemistry.
